Do you want to shape how organisations build their data platforms on Microsoft Fabric? Do you enjoy combining architecture with hands-on engineering, and turning data into a foundation for analytics, AI and agentic solutions? Then this could be your next role. Become our new colleague in Finland!
At Context& we work with Microsoft solutions, always with AI as an integrated part. We are more than 330 colleagues across five offices in Finland and Denmark, working with both public and private clients on projects that deliver measurable results. You will join a community with high standards for quality, where we solve problems together through knowledge sharing and close collaboration.
Data Platform team
You would join the Data Platform team, helping our clients with their data needs.
We design and build data environments that support analytics, AI agents, production pipelines and machine learning.
Some of us also teach the latest in data and analytics.
Your responsibilities
Own the architecture of client data platforms built mainly on Microsoft Fabric: OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines, notebooks and Real-Time Intelligence.
Lead migrations from Azure Synapse and other older Azure platforms to Fabric, including planning, roadmaps and hands-on delivery.
Design medallion architectures (bronze/silver/gold), data models and semantic layers that are secure, scalable, cost-efficient and easy to monitor.
Define how Fabric is governed and run: workspaces and environments, capacity sizing and cost, security and access, CI/CD with Git and deployment pipelines.
Build and review pipelines and transformations with SQL and PySpark, and set engineering standards for the team.
Prepare data so it is ready for Power BI, Copilot and Fabric data agents.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, support pre-sales, and coach and mentor others in the team.
Your qualifications
Several years of experience in data engineering or data platform development, including responsibility for architecture and technical decisions.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, especially Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory and notebooks.
Excellent SQL skills and solid PySpark or Spark experience.
Deep understanding of lakehouse and data warehouse architecture, dimensional modelling, data quality and performance tuning.
Working knowledge of the Azure services that support Fabric, such as Entra ID, Key Vault, networking and private endpoints, Azure DevOps or GitHub, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
The ability to explain technical choices clearly to both technical and business people.
Fluent Finnish and good English.
Nice to have
Experience migrating from Synapse or Azure SQL to Fabric.
Real-time and streaming data (Eventstream, Eventhouse/KQL).
Power BI semantic models and DAX.
Microsoft Purview and data governance.
Integrating REST APIs.
Microsoft certifications such as Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700), Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) or Azure Data Engineer.
