OUR OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking anApplication Architectto define,maintain, and govern the Application Architecture across enterprise and banking environments. The role will focus on developing current-state and target-state application landscapes, defining application and integration standards, and ensuring application designs align with approved Enterprise Architecture. The Application Architect will work closely with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and development teams to support application modernization, rationalization, integration, and transformation initiatives.
YOU WILL
Define andmaintainthe Application Architecture and application landscape.
Develop andmaintaincurrent-state and target-state application architectures
Defineapplicationarchitecture principles, standards, and guidelines.
Design application components and define their relationships and dependencies.
Define andmaintainintegration and API architecture.
Assess application dependencies, impacts, and technology risks.
Identifygaps between current-state and target-state application architecture.
Ensure application designscomply withapproved Enterprise Architecture standards.
Review and approve application architecture and solution designs.
Supportapplicationmodernization, rationalization, and transformation initiatives.
Ensure application architecture supports business capabilities and requirements.
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and development teams.
Maintain theapplicationrepository, architecture models, and related documentation.
Monitor compliance with approved application architecture standards andprinciples..
Requirements
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU NEED
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, ora relatedfield.
7+ years of experience in Application Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Architecture, or related roles.
Experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
Experience working in a SAMA-regulated environment is an advantage.
Strong experience in application architectureand applicationlandscape design.
Strong understanding of API, integration, and distributed application architectures.
Experience withapplicationmodernization, rationalization, and transformation.
Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and frameworks.
Experience with architecture governance, design reviews, and technology standards.
Strong understanding of application dependencies, interfaces, and integration patterns.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, or similar certification ispreferred.
