We are seeking a Senior HVAC-R Integrated Solutions Engineer to join our team in Aachen, Germany, in a hybrid working model.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Create new concepts and design for system solutions relying on Copeland’s broad product range, compressors, flow controls and electronic controls.
- Develop and sustain integrated solutions dedicated to HVAC&R applications and relying on technologies ranging from mechanics to controls & diagnostics, fault detection and AI.
- Analyze HVAC/R and energy systems theoretically and experimentally.
- Develop advanced tools for the organization.
- Develop new value proposition opportunities for customers & end-users jointly with customers, engineering, marketing, sales
Required qualifications and experience:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Thermodynamics, Energy Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar engineering or research-focused role.
- Python programming proficiency is required.
- Experience with Dymola and/or LabVIEW is considered an advantage.
- Strong background in energy systems, refrigeration, and air-conditioning technologies, including analysis, simulation, testing, and laboratory activities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated, action-oriented, and capable of working both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Fluent English is required.
- Knowledge of additional European languages is a plus.
