Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage building construction projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, execution, coordination, budget control, quality assurance, workplace safety, and timely project completion.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building construction project management in Singapore, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage building construction projects from commencement to completion.
Develop project schedules, work programmes, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Monitor project progress and ensure that works are completed according to the approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
Supervise and manage site operations to ensure productivity, workmanship, and quality standards are maintained.
Monitor project costs, variations, progress claims, procurement, and subcontractor performance.
Ensure compliance with Singapore's relevant building regulations, Workplace Safety and Health requirements, and project specifications.
Identify project risks, resolve site issues, and implement corrective measures to minimise delays and additional costs.
Attend site meetings and progress meetings, prepare reports, and provide updates to management and clients.
Ensure that project documentation, method statements, risk assessments, inspection records, and other required documents are properly maintained.
Coordinate inspections, testing, defect rectification, and handover activities.
Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives within the approved budget and timeline.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building construction project management in Singapore.
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or a related discipline.
Good knowledge of Singapore construction practices, building regulations, and site coordination procedures.
Proven ability to manage construction programmes, budgets, manpower, materials, and subcontractors.
Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contract administration, and project documentation.
Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction project scheduling or management tools.
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
Good command of written and spoken English for communication with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Experience managing building construction projects in Singapore.
Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and construction quality control.
Experience in progress claims, variation orders, procurement, and cost monitoring.
Ability to coordinate effectively with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
