QUANTITY SURVEYOR (CONSTRUCTION)

Job Description
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity take-offs, tender preparation, contract administration, progress claims and cost control for building construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BQ), quantity take-offs and tender submissions.
Review architectural, structural and M&E drawings, specifications and contract documents.
Prepare and submit progress claims, payment applications and variation order (VO) claims.
Evaluate subcontractors’ and suppliers’ quotations and negotiate competitive pricing.
Prepare cost reports, budgets and project cost forecasts.
Monitor project expenditure and ensure costs remain within the approved budget.
Manage contractual correspondence, claims, variations and final accounts.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
Conduct site measurements and verify quantities of completed works.
Assist in tender negotiations, procurement and subcontract administration.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with project contractual requirements.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in building construction projects in Singapore is preferred.
Familiarity with Singapore construction practices, contract administration and progress claims.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and quantity surveying or estimating software.
Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Good communication, negotiation, analytical and organisational skills.
Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Responsible, meticulous and able to work effectively with project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or a similar role in Construction.
Experience in tender preparation, cost control, variation claims and final accounts.
Knowledge of Singapore construction contracts and local industry practices.
