Debtors Clerk

A security company is looking for a reliable, organised and detail-oriented Debtors Controller / Debtors Accountant to join their team. They are looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and can manage day-to-day financial administration efficiently.

• Manage debtors accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Handle customer accounts, statements and account queries.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Process and capture payments accurately.
• Assist with creditor administration and payment processing.
• Manage purchase orders, invoices and supplier documentation on COUPA.
• Capture and maintain accurate financial records on Pastel.
• Assist with general office administration and financial reporting.
• Maintain proper filing and supporting documentation.
• Provide general support to the finance and administration functions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Matric certificate
• Qualifications: BCom or similar
• Previous experience in debtors control, bookkeeping or accounts administration.
• Working knowledge of SAGE Pastel Partner and COUPA is essential.
• Good understanding of account reconciliations and payment processing.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and follow up on outstanding matters.
• Honest, dependable and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility.

Additional Requirements:

• Transport: Must have own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Languages: Afrikaans and English proficient for clients and the company culture.
