What we need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Deputy MLRO within our Alpha FX division. This position falls under our Cross Border line of business and is located in Dublin, Ireland.
In this role you will support Corpay's Irish MLRO in operating an effective anti-money laundering (AML), countering the financing of terrorism (CFT), and financial sanctions framework. The role will focus on suspicious activity investigations, internal escalations, and regulatory reporting under Irish and EU requirements. Working closely with the Irish MLRO and the wider global Regulatory Compliance team you will provide expert oversight of financial crime matters in Ireland, advise senior stakeholders, and help embed a strong compliance culture. You will act as the MLRO's delegated alternate where appropriate, support timely and well-evidenced suspicious transaction reporting decisions, and provide clear management information on the effectiveness of AML/CFT controls. The role will also help standardise financial crime frameworks across new products and integrations. Alongside your Deputy MLRO responsibilities, you will provide ad hoc support to the wider Regulatory team with its day-to-day activities. As the role may extend beyond the core AML/CFT remit, you must be able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across the wider Group, adapt to evolving priorities, and quickly develop new skills as required.
You will report directly to the Group Head of Compliance. You will regularly collaborate with Sales, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams in Europe and into the wider Global team.

Role Responsibilities
Your responsibilities of the role will include;
Deputy MLRO & STR Management
- Support the Irish MLRO and act as delegated alternate when formally authorised.
- Investigate internal suspicious activity reports promptly, independently, and with a documented rationale.
- Prepare and, where authorised, file STRs with FIU Ireland through goAML and Revenue through ROS.
- Maintain confidential case files, evidence, decision logs, and reporting rationales.
- Advise employees on escalation, confidentiality, tipping-off, and transactions under review.
AML/CFT & Financial Sanctions Oversight
- Oversee transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, alert investigations, quality assurance, and remediation.
- Challenge CDD, EDD, PEP, beneficial ownership, and source-of-funds controls.
- Maintain the Ireland business risk assessment and proportionate customer and transaction risk assessments.
- Monitor emerging ML/TF, proliferation financing, fraud, and sanctions risks in payments and FX.
- Support escalation, freezing, and reporting of potential sanctions matches under Irish and EU rules.
Governance, Regulatory Engagement & Culture
- Prepare AML/CFT metrics, thematic analysis, and reports for the MLRO, senior management, and Board.
- Support Central Bank of Ireland inspections, regulatory requests, audits, and independent AML/CFT reviews.
- Maintain Ireland-specific AML/CFT and sanctions policies, controls, procedures, and governance documents.
- Deliver role-specific training and advise business teams on onboarding, monitoring, sanctions, and financial crime risk.
