We're hiring for Field Research Scientist.

Job Description

  • Conduct and monitor field trials to characterize product performance in line with defined technical objectives.
  • Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and productivity, including the ability to select optimal field sites and conduct trials according to the highest standards and EPPO guidelines.
  • Understand and prepare trial protocols and be accountable for the accurate planning and execution of applications and evaluations, as well as the timely delivery of final data and trial reports.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with growers and farmers.
  • Conduct field trial assessments and data processing, including statistical analysis and preparation of trial reports.
  • Prepare data summaries and presentations for internal and external meetings.

Candidate Profile

  • University degree in Agronomy, preferably with a specialization in Weed Science, Plant Pathology, or Entomology.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in field trial work and agricultural technologies.
  • Knowledge of trial data management, data processing, and statistical analysis.
  • Previous experience with statistical and trial management tools such as ARM.
  • Physical and medical fitness to apply plant protection products for experimental purposes, both outdoors and indoors, including under sub-optimal weather conditions.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and to travel and work in the countryside when required.
  • Ability to manage seasonal workload peaks, particularly during application and harvest periods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility, dynamism, and a proactive approach are essential assets for joining Corteva.
