What you’ll do

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our AI and Automation Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the APIs that power document ingestion and integrations of our Core AI platform at CORTO.

To make this happen you will

This is an incredible opportunity to be part of an engineering team building the next generation of our products. The day to day will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining multiple microservices central to document ingestion and integrations.
• Maintaining and enhancing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines that connect enterprise knowledge sources with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Prototyping and experimenting with new AI techniques, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
• Building and managing scalable cloud infrastructure (utilizing serverless compute, event queues, managed containers, and NoSQL/relational storage).
• Optimising code and system architecture for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver efficient solutions.

What you’ll bring

You are a focused, motivated and hard-working developer who wants to join a fantastic growing team at a critical time and learn on the job to expand your skills. In addition to that you will bring:

• Experience: Hands-on software engineering experience building RESTful APIs and production-grade software.
• Tech Stack Agnostic Mindset: Strong foundation in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., C#, Python, Java, Go, or Node.js) and a willingness to learn new technologies as required by the business.
• Architecture & Distributed Systems: Solid understanding of software architecture, event-driven designs, and microservices.
• Database Knowledge: Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL or key-value stores (e.g., DynamoDB, Redis).
• Cloud Infrastructure: Exposure to major cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• AI-Assisted Workflows: Experience with or interest in using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development.
