Operational Compliance Engineer

We are looking for an Operational Compliance Engineer to join our Property team! The role is based in our offices in Athens - Kolonos.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular visits and Health & Safety inspections across stores, offices, warehouses and company facilities, ensuring safe, functional and compliant working environments.
• Support new store openings, relocations, refurbishments and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
• Partner with Construction, Retail and People teams to identify risks, monitor facility condition and operational readiness, and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor contractor activities during maintenance, fit-out and renovation projects.
• Lead risk assessments for retail operations, logistics facilities and technical projects.
• Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and Greek legislation.
• Deliver Health & Safety training and awareness initiatives to store and office teams.
• Monitor emergency preparedness processes, fire safety measures and contractor compliance across all sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related field).
• 2-3 years of experience in Health & Safety, Facilities Management, Retail Operations, Construction or a similar environment.
• Experience serving as a Safety Technician will be considered a strong asset.
• Good knowledge of Greek Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections and incident investigations, as well as supervising Health & Safety compliance during maintenance, fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across Construction, Retail & People functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Fluent in Greek and good command of English.
