Position Purpose   

We are seeking a Director of Admissions  to lead the day-to-day operations and performance of the campus Admissions team in achieving enrollment goals while delivering a high-quality, student-centered experience. 

As a key member of the campus leadership team, this individual will oversee the full admissions process-from initial inquiry through enrollment-while developing and coaching a team of Admissions professionals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance team development, operational oversight, and personal involvement in the enrollment process. 

This is a highly metrics-driven role, and we are looking for someone who is comfortable managing performance, analyzing data, and holding a team accountable to results-while ensuring the admissions process remains consultative, ethical, and focused on the best interests of each prospective student.

  • Create and implement an admissions strategy aligned with institutional goals, using market research to identify target audiences.
  • Analyze admissions data to inform strategies, optimize recruitment efforts, and improve conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with other departments to advance the institution’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

This position ensures that the admissions process aligns with organizational goals and effectively attracts qualified students, contributing to the overall success of the institution. 

Job Responsibilities   

Admissions Team Leadership and Development  

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Admissions Representatives and support staff 
  • Set clear expectations, monitor daily activity, and hold team members accountable to performance goals
  • Lead by example through active participation in the admissions process, including interviewing and enrolling prospective students  

Enrollment Performance and Execution  

  • Execute campus-level strategies to meet or exceed enrollment targets
  • Track, analyze, and manage daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics across the admissions funnel
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase conversion rates, and optimize team performance
  • Ensure performance expectations are achieved while maintaining a student-first, consultative admissions approach  

Manage the Student Enrollment Process  

  • Oversee the full inquiry-to-enrollment lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for prospective students
  • Ensure timely follow-up, appointment setting, interviewing, application processing, and orientation attendance
  • Maintain high standards of service, professionalism, and ethical admissions practices  

Compliance & Data Accuracy  

  • Ensure all admissions activities align with company policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in CampusVue, including required documentation and audit readiness
  • Train and support staff on systems, processes, and compliance expectations  

Collaborate Across Campus  

  • Partner with Financial Services, Career Services, Academics, and Campus Leadership to support student enrollment and success
  • Contribute to campus-wide initiatives and overall performance goals  

Support Outreach & Community Engagement  

  • Support local outreach efforts including career fairs, events, and community partnerships
  • Encourage team participation in activities that generate prospective student interest 

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s Degree  (Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred)
  • 5+ years of management experience or proven leadership in a relevant role, demonstrating a track record of effectively guiding teams, driving performance, and achieving organizational goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a patient approach to resolving admissions challenges
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proven integrity and professionalism in all interactions
  • Excellent persuasive communication abilities with a strong focus on customer/student satisfaction
  • Highly motivated with a passion for achieving goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a successful Admissions Representative on campus
  • Proven ability to manage an Admissions team in a fast-paced, performance-driven, and compliance-oriented environment
  • Experience with Anthology software
