This is a local hire position.base in CISS, Shanghai, China

Major tasks：

• Lead constructability studies for project construction/installation feasibility, develop construction execution plan and construction management procedures during FEL3/DED phase.

• Develop multiple level construction organization chart and define the role and responsibilities of all subordinates.

• Lead technical part of construction contract bidding process, organize the technical evaluation of technical proposals and prepare TBE (Technical Bidding Evaluation) with support of contract manager.

• Evaluate and monitor the implementation of HSE rules, practices and regulations at all times

• Lead the construction schedule preparation and track the progress with support of scheduler and organize regular coordination meetings.

• Manage, direct & conduct inspections of site executed work by contractors to ensure safety, quality and progress follows corresponding targets.

• Monitor and verify project completion status in alignment with milestones & project completion dates and develop contingency plans for unforeseen events or acts of God that would impact cost and schedule.

• Manage site changes and coordinate with design disciplines, contract management to control site changes.

• Monitor and enforce material control protocols and good housekeeping practices.

• Manage construction contractors and interfaces with start-up team, 3rd party supervision company and other corresponding stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Pyrochemical Engineering• Mechanical Engineering• Mechanical/Process Piping Engineering• Pharmaceutical Engineering
• Experience:
• 10+ years construction management working experience, 5+ years as construction manager in chemical/pharmaceutical related industries;
• CM role or construction lead function in €20 million+ project;
• Construction experience in utility and CTO project, or boiler, combustion chambers, and similar facilities;
• Experience in EPC management and Package project management.
• Effective managerial and communication skills and computer literacy are mandatory
• Self-starter that aggressively asserts him/herself as a leader and motivates others.
• Previous work experience with a multi-national company preferred but not mandatory
• Good English skills required, oral and written.
• Practical knowledge of PRC codes and International standards preferred.
• Technical knowledge of various construction disciplines in chemical industry is preferred.
• MEP installation background is required.
