TPU Technical Sales Manager Indonesia

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commercial:

• Drive new business acquisition with a hunter mindset - actively prospecting, qualifying, and closing new accounts across target segments
• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of key accounts, with primary focus on, but not limited to, Footwear segment
• Develop and execute account plans to achieve volume, revenue, and margin targets in line with APAC business objectives
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer dynamics; provide timely intelligence and forecast to the regional team

Technical:

• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers - providing hands-on application support, troubleshooting, and process optimization guidance
• Identify and develop new application opportunities within existing and prospective accounts, translating customer needs into viable material solutions
• Conduct customer trials, application testing, and qualification processes for new TPU grades and formulations
• Provide training and technical presentations to customers and internal stakeholders

QUALITIFICATIONS:

Education :

- Bachelor degree in Sciences/Engineering or Business Administration degree or equivalent

Work Experience :

- More than 5 years of professional experience in the fields of marketing or sales or similar

- Hands-on experience in TPU, TPE, or related polymer applications is strongly preferred; footwear industry experience is a distinct advantage

- Proven track record in new business hunting - demonstrated ability to open new accounts and grow revenue from scratch

- Experience in international business environment is an advantage but not a must

- Familiarity with the Indonesian manufacturing landscape and established customer networks in relevant segments.

Skills and Competencies

- Strong commercial drive with a results-oriented, self-starter mindset - comfortable working independently in a market-facing role

- Solid technical depth - able to engage credibly with R&D, process engineers, and product designers at customer sites

- Excellent communication and influencing skills - able to present, negotiate, and build trust at multiple levels of customer organizations.

- Collaborative team player with the ability to mobilize internal resources across functions and geographies.

- Fluency in spoken / written English

- Fluency in spoken / written Mandarin is an advantage

- Willingness to travel extensively within Indonesia and occasionally to other ASEAN countries
