This is a key role focused on bringing greater control, visibility and consistency to production planning. The successful candidate will take ownership of the production schedule, ensuring it is realistic, well managed and aligned with customer demand and factory capacity.

A core part of the role will involve building a clear, joined up view of demand and production across the business, linking sales pipeline, confirmed orders and live production activity to support better planning, forecasting and delivery performance. You will work closely with production teams and management to improve how we plan, track and deliver work, helping drive better on time delivery and more reliable lead times.

This is a key position within a growing business where you will have real ownership and visibility. You will play a central role in improving how the business plans and delivers its work, with the opportunity to make a tangible impact on performance.

The role offers a high level of cross functional exposure, working closely with sales, supply chain, production and delivery teams. It is well suited to someone who enjoys being close to operations, influencing outcomes and seeing the direct results of their work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Integrate information from supply chain, production systems and quality systems to ensure plans are based on accurate and up to date data

·Create clear visibility of workload, constraints and priorities across the factory

·Establish and track realistic lead times based on product type and production requirements

·Monitor schedule adherence and proactively manage delays or bottlenecks

·Work closely with production teams to ensure plans are clearly communicated and executed

·Feed accurate and timely information into delivery and installation teams to support planning and customer commitments

·Provide regular updates on capacity, lead times and delivery performance

·Support ongoing improvements in planning processes and data accuracy

KEY DELIVERABLES:

·Improved control and accuracy of production lead times

·Clear understanding and forward view of production capacity

·Stronger alignment between order intake and production output

·Improved on time delivery performance

·A well-managed and trusted production schedule

This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and as the company evolves, employees’ roles and responsibilities

will be expected to adapt and evolve with it.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

·Proven experience in a production planning or scheduling role within manufacturing

·Strong understanding of capacity planning, lead time management and scheduling principles

·Experience working with production data and planning systems (ERP or similar)

·Highly organised with strong attention to detail

·Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with shop floor teams

·A collaborative, team oriented approach

·Proactive mindset with a focus on improving performance and outcomes

ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS:

Our ideal candidate will have the following personal skills:

·Experience in a manufacturing environment with a range of products or varying specifications

·Comfortable working in a hands on, fast paced environment

·Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across teams

·Demonstrated experience in leading successful process improvement initiatives that resulted in measurable operational gains.

·Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

·Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams at all levels.

·Experience in managing and executing improvement projects, with a proven ability to deliver results on time.

·Hands-on approach with a willingness to be on the shop floor to understand challenges and drive improvements.
