Project Design Engineer
Job Overview
- Location: Dundalk, Co. Louth
- Role Type: Permanent, hands-on mechanical and mechatronic design position
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Design: Own the 3D and 2D design, modeling, and detailing of automated machinery and mechatronic systems using SolidWorks.
- System Scope: Design transfer systems, servo systems, robotics, pneumatics, electrical equipment, and machine guarding from concept to delivery.
- Cross-Functional Work: Collaborate closely with electrical, software, and multi-discipline engineering teams.
- Documentation & Compliance: Manage technical document creation, project change control, and adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on machine design and automation experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks; familiarity with PLC/control platforms (such as Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal/Step7, or Ignition) and regulatory frameworks like GAMP or 21 CFR Part 11 is advantageous.
- Driving License required.
- Travel to UK and Europe.
