Senior Lead Network Engineer

Location: Northern Ireland | Hybrid Working Available

Salary up to £73,000

Our client is a leading organisation operating within the electricity transmission and energy sector. As Northern Ireland's energy landscape continues to evolve, they are seeking a Senior Lead Engineer to play a key role in shaping the future development of the power system.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced power systems professional to lead complex technical analysis, support major infrastructure and connection projects, and contribute to the delivery of a secure, reliable and sustainable electricity network.

Key Responsibilities

·Lead the delivery of advanced power system studies, including transient stability, harmonic and other network assessments.

·Develop and maintain transmission network models and analytical tools.

·Provide technical input to strategic network planning, investment and development activities.

·Identify opportunities to improve the quality, efficiency and consistency of network analysis processes.

·Develop and maintain automation solutions to support engineering studies and reporting.

·Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the energy sector.

·Prepare robust technical reports, recommendations and governance papers.

·Present complex engineering findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

·Mentor and support colleagues, encouraging knowledge sharing and technical development.

·Support the planning and delivery of engineering projects, workstreams and operational activities.

Essential Requirements

·Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

·Minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in power systems engineering, network planning, connections planning, or a related field.

·Strong understanding of transmission networks, power systems and associated equipment.

·Experience carrying out power system studies, including dynamic, harmonic and/or techno-economic analysis.

·Experience using power system analysis software such as PSS®E, PowerFactory or similar platforms.

·Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Excel, Python, VBA or similar technologies.
