SOCIAL MEDIAMARKETING DIRECTOR

Position Overview

Crazy Mountain isseekingan experienced, highlycreativeand culturallyconnected Social Media Director to lead the brand's social media strategy,contentecosystem,community, and growth across digital platforms.

This person willbe responsible fordefining how Crazy Mountain shows up in culture andonline-developingthe social strategy, leadingcontentdevelopment, overseeing day-to-day execution, and building a distinctive and recognizable brand voice across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands-on social expert who understands how to turn a brand into a culturalconversation. You will lead the development ofcontentstrategies and campaigns, oversee creators and freelance partners,identifyemerging trends, manage social performance, and work cross-functionally to support brand launches, partnerships, events, and broader marketing initiatives.

This is a highly visible leadership role with significant ownership over Crazy Mountain's social presence and digital brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Brand Leadership

  • Develop and own Crazy Mountain'scomprehensive social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.
  • Establish the brand's social voice, personality, tone, and visual identity across channels.
  • Translate overall brand strategy and businessobjectivesintocompelling social strategies and campaigns.
  • Identifycultural moments, trends,conversations, and opportunities that can authentically elevate Crazy Mountain.
  • Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly social strategies andcontentroadmaps.
  • Define platform-specific strategies based on audience behavior, algorithms, trends, and emerging formats.
  • Serve as the internal subject-matter expert and advocate for social media across the organization.
  • Establish socialmediabest practices, standards, and governance for the brand.

Content Strategy & Creative Direction

  • Lead the development of an innovative, disruptive, and culturally relevantcontentstrategy.
  • Establish creative direction for socialcontentwhilemaintainingaconsistent Crazy Mountain brand identity.
  • Oversee monthly and campaign-specificcontentcalendars across organic and paidsocial.
  • Developcontentconcepts that drive awareness, engagement,community growth, and brand affinity.
  • Partner with internal marketing and creative teams to develop integrated campaigns.
  • Identifyopportunities to leverage UGC, creators, influencers, partnerships, events, and cultural moments.
  • Ensurecontentisoptimizedfor each platform, audience, format, andobjective.

Content Creation & Production

  • Provide creative direction and oversight for social shoots, campaigns, andcontentproduction.
  • Participate hands-on incontentcreation whenappropriate, including shooting, directing, editing, and producing short-form video.
  • Lead planning and execution of socialcontentshoots, including creative development, productionlogistics, talent, locations, and post-production.
  • Oversee freelance creators, photographers, videographers, editors, and other external creative partners.
  • Build andmaintaina network of high-quality creators and production resources.
  • Capture and direct real-timecontentat events, activations, partnerships, launches, and key brand moments.
  • Ensurecontentconsistently meets Crazy Mountain's standards for quality, creativity, authenticity, and brand alignment.

Publishing & Platform Management

  • Oversee day-to-day social publishing and channel management.
  • Ensureconsistent posting cadence and platform-specific execution.
  • Develop and approve captions,creative, messaging, and calls to action.
  • Stay ahead of platform changes, emerging features, algorithms, formats, and best practices.
  • Maintain an agile approach that allows Crazy Mountain to respond quickly to relevant cultural and social moments.
  • Use ofinnovative AI tools to support social platforms.

Community & Brand Engagement

  • Overseecommunity management across social platforms, includingcomments, DMs, mentions, and taggedcontent.
  • Establish a strong, authentic, and recognizable Crazy Mountain voice within thecommunity.
  • Develop strategies to increase meaningful engagement and build brand advocacy.
  • Monitor culturalconversations andidentifyopportunities for the brand toparticipateauthentically.
  • Developcommunity-building initiatives that turn followers into active brand advocates.
  • Establish escalation protocols for sensitive, reputational, orcustomer-serviceissues.

Influencer, Creator & Partnership Strategy

  • Develop and oversee the socialcomponentof Crazy Mountain's influencer and creator strategy.
  • Partner with marketing and brand teams toidentifyhigh-value creators and cultural partners.
  • Develop creative briefs and social expectations for influencer and creator campaigns.
  • Oversee amplification of influencer and partnershipcontentacross owned channels.
  • Evaluate creator performance and develop long-term relationships with high-value partners.
  • Ensure creatorcontentaligns with Crazy Mountain's brand positioning and social strategy.

Analytics, Measurement & Growth

  • Establish social media KPIs and performance benchmarks aligned withcompany and marketingobjectives.
  • Monitor and analyze channel performance, audience growth, engagement, reach, video views, watch time, traffic, andconversion metrics.
  • Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and campaign-level performance reports.
  • Translate performance data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Continuously testcontentformats, creative approaches, posting strategies, and audience opportunities.
  • Establish a culture of experimentation, optimization, andcontinuous improvement.
  • Partner with performance marketing and e-commerce teams to understand and maximizesocial'scontribution to business growth.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Brand, Marketing, PR, Influencer, Sales, E-commerce, and Partnerships teams.
  • Lead socialstrategyand execution for product launches, campaigns, events, partnerships, and key brand initiatives.
  • Ensure social media is integrated into broader marketing campaigns fromconcept through execution.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align social strategy with Crazy Mountain's overall businessobjectives.
  • Serve as the social media voice in cross-functional planning and marketing meetings.

Team & Agency Management

  • Build and manage the social media function as the brand grows.
  • Manage internal team members, freelancers, creators, agencies, and production partners asappropriate.
  • Establish clearobjectives, workflows, priorities, and performance expectations.
  • Manage social media-related budgets and resources.
  • Evaluate agency and vendor performance and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Develop the capabilities, processes, and infrastructure necessary to scale Crazy Mountain's social presence.

Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in social media, digital marketing,content, or brand marketing.
  • Demonstrated success leading social media strategy for aconsumer-facing brand.
  • Significant experiencemanaging TikTok and Instagram for established brands.
  • Proven ability to build and grow engaged socialcommunities.
  • Strong understanding of social algorithms, platform trends, emerging formats, and digital culture.
  • Demonstrated success developing social strategies that drive measurable brand growth and engagement.
  • Strong creative instincts andexceptionalunderstanding of brand storytelling.
  • Experience directing and overseeing short-form video production.
  • Strongcopywriting and editorial skills with the ability toestablishand maintain a distinctivebrandvoice.
  • Experience managing creators, influencers, freelancers, agencies, and production partners.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate social data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience managing budgets and external creative resources.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability tooperateeffectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing,Communications, Advertising, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Portfoliodemonstratingsignificant social media growth, creative campaigns, and/or successful brand-building workrequired.
