About the Role:

The Team:

The CrowdStrike Intelligence Editorial team, part of Intelligence Publishing, works closely with analysts, writers, engineers, and creative services to produce high-quality, impactful, and competitive CrowdStrike Intelligence.

Please note, this role requires Pacific Time (PT) hours and a West Coast location is strongly preferred.

What You'll Do:

Editorial Excellence & Quality Assurance

  • Upholding Editorial Standards: Perform thorough developmental, copy, and substantive edits on intelligence reports, uphold rigorous grammatical and editorial standards, and adhere to the CrowdStrike Intelligence Style Guide and established checklists.
  • Providing Objective Justification: Apply deep theoretical English-language knowledge and practical editing expertise to provide clear, constructive, and objective reasoning for editorial revisions.
  • Producing High-Impact Deliverables: Participate equally with senior peers in producing error-free, time-sensitive, and broadly impactful intelligence products.
  • Paying Attention to Detail: Catch subtle errors, discrepancies, and formatting nuances that others miss to ensure comprehensive quality control before publication.

Publishing & Workflow Operations

  • Managing Queues & Schedules: Adhere to publishing workflows, product schedules, checklists, and collaborative queue management to guarantee on-time delivery of intelligence deliverables.
  • Negotiating with Stakeholders: Model effective diplomacy and negotiation with analysts and production stakeholders during editorial review cycles to achieve clarity without compromising editorial integrity.
  • Demonstrating Systems Proficiency: Model near-mastery of publishing platforms and procedural workflows; identify and resolve potential interruptions to publication.
  • Incorporating AI: Use available or develop tools to assist with and enhance processes where appropriate.

Problem Solving & Critical Thinking

  • Executing Tasks with Independence: Perform day-to-day editorial tasks with minimal direction; apply sound judgment within established policies, precedents, and procedures.
  • Resolving Issues: Tackle problems of moderate scope, analyze variable factors, and adapt learned techniques to eliminate publication bottlenecks.
  • Developing Skills: Pitch, develop, fine tune, and implement team and department-wide professional development, resource building, and improvement initiatives.

Collaboration, Communication, & Professionalism

  • Building Cross-Functional Partnerships: Develop productive working relationships with analysts, core analysis cells, editorial peers, and management to advance the CAO mission and deliver mutual solutions.
  • Communicating Clearly and Proactively: Communicate effectively with management regarding project updates and needed support; track communication threads to maintain organized delivery across concurrent tasks.
  • Uplifting and Mentoring Teammates: Provide on-the-job training for junior editors and new hires, share technical knowledge, and contribute to team skill-refinement and resource-development initiatives.
  • Maintaining Objectivity and Composure: Serve as a reliable, steady point of contact during high-stress situations, resolve professional disagreements constructively and objectively, and ensure personal preferences never compromise publishing standards.

What You'll Need:

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field
