Crusoe is an energy and cloud company founded in 2018 that builds data centres next to stranded and low-carbon power sources. It started by converting flared natural gas into computing capacity and has become a large supplier of graphics processing capacity for artificial intelligence training and inference. The company develops sites, energy systems and its own managed AI cloud.

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack - from electrons to tokens - to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that - with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved - people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role:

The Quality Technician - Electrical Inspector serves as a critical stakeholder in Crusoe's manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that all modular data centers, medium-voltage (MV) power distribution systems, and complex electrical sub-assemblies meet rigid technical specifications, regulatory standards, and corporate quality benchmarks.

Operating on a fast-paced production floor, the Quality Technician cross-functionally collaborates with Engineering, Safety, and Production teams to mitigate risk, drive continuous improvement, and safeguard product reliability.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • End-to-End Quality Inspection & Testing: Conduct rigorous inspections and hands-on functional testing across a diverse equipment portfolio, ranging from component-level sub-assemblies to fully integrated systems.

  • Component-Level Scope: Verify compliance for enclosures, breaker panels, switchboards, MV switchgear, load centers, HVAC units, surge protection devices, and PLC/control wiring.

  • System-Level Scope: Validate structural and electrical integrity for modular data center units, Power Distribution Centers (PDCs), and electrical houses (E-Houses).

  • Live Power Testing & Commissioning: Perform operational commissioning, live power validation, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and preliminary commissioning for complex electrical and control infrastructure.

  • Functional System Validation: Confirm total operational integrity across all system levels (including 24VDC, 415VAC, HMI, and ATS) to guarantee zero-defect delivery to the end user.

  • Documentation & Technical Output: Author comprehensive testing reports, compliance certificates, and maintain audit-ready documentation for both component and system-level builds.

  • Process Audits & Standardization: Conduct routine process audits of electrical assembly, control wiring, power distribution integration, and final installation methodologies. Own and continuously optimize quality standard operating procedures (SOPs), testing matrixes, and training materials.

  • Compliance & Engineering Alignment: Verify that all manufacturing execution adheres strictly to approved engineering drawings, schematics, NFPA 70E regulatory frameworks, LOTO protocols, and industry regulations.

  • Defect Management & CAPA: Lead the identification, tagging, and resolution of material non-conformances and engineering deviations. Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams (DFM) to analyze defects, implement robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and eliminate recurring bottlenecks.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Electrical Systems Expertise: Robust, hands-on experience with low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) electrical installations, including PDCs, E-houses, and industrial control panels.

  • Regulatory & Industry Standards: Working knowledge of IEC, NEC, NFPA 70B, IEEE, and NETA testing specifications.

  • Advanced Component Familiarity: Strong working knowledge of PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), HMI systems, Motor Control Centers (MCC), and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).

  • Schematic & Drawing Literacy: Advanced proficiency in reading, interpreting, and tracing complex electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and detailed engineering drawings.

  • Objective Quality Decision-Making: Proven ability to maintain strict quality standards and firmly enforce compliance guidelines within high-throughput manufacturing environments.

  • Analytical Precision & Detail Orientation: Exceptional detail orientation with a proven track record of identifying micro-level anomalies in complex, macro-level assemblies.

  • Digital Literacy: Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and standard digital quality logging and QMS tools.

  • Operational Agility & Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods on an active manufacturing floor, maneuver through modular units, and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Professional Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical defects clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and floor leadership.

  • Safety & Screening Compliance: Position is designated as safety-sensitive. Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug/alcohol screening in accordance with company safety regulations.

Bonus Points:

  • Licensure & Relevant Experience: 4+ years of hands-on electrical experience with a valid Journeyman license, OR 3+ years of dedicated electrical quality inspection experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.

  • UL Certification & Methodologies: Practical experience with UL inspection methodologies and UL listing certification processes.

  • Precision Assemblies & Torquing: Demonstrated experience with documented industrial torquing procedures and torque specification verification.

  • Quality Frameworks: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S principles, or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

  • Professional Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation.

  • Systems Infrastructure: Operational experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically Acumatica.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and equity packages

  • Restricted Stock Units

  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs

  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance

  • Employer contributions to HSA account

  • Paid parental leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
