Life in this role
As part of our Integrated Packing Services, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Supply Chain Planner on a full time permanent basis!
Salary: £32,000-£36,000 per annum.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
Key Duties of a Supply Chain Planner:
- Monitoring and ordering the stock of ingredients and packaging so that production may efficiently achieve customer requirements.
- Expediting and delaying orders as required.
- Communicating with customers to advise of any issues and manage their expectations accordingly.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers for the call-off of free-issue components and packaging.
- Creating and managing vision data, including stock codes, BOMs, stocking levels, etc.
- Coordinating all departments to ensure new projects launch successfully.
- Working closely with the Planning team to schedule the planning of production and manage the day to day matters affecting logistics.
- Developing and maintaining customer third part systems, including SAP and Oracle.
- Organising logistics and booking in vehicles for the warehouse as required.
- Controlling purchase orders for goods and ensuring tight control of paperwork and procedures.
- Performing stock reconciliations and stock balances, reporting results internally and to customers.
- Active involvement in the process of internal auditing.
What you’ll need ...
- Previous experience within a similar role managing stock, etc.
- Administrative experience within a fast-paced customer driven environment.
- Proven knowledge in running/actioning MRP, planning, logistics and production supply.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, with a positive attitude.
- Proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work using own initiative.
- PC literate with experience in MS Excel, along with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of the importance of providing high customer service standards.
