Technical Support Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting technology operations for all products and tools owned by the GAITech team. You will partner with cross-functional operations and technology teams to proactively identify and resolve issues and escalate technical problems requiring code changes to the development team.

Your day-to-day activities will involve writing and debugging Python code to automate processes and solve operational challenges, as well as working with Linux commands for system monitoring and troubleshooting. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to learn and implement new technologies as needed to support the team's goals and help ensure the smooth functioning of core AI infrastructure in a dynamic, global environment. Please note that this is a shift-based operations role supporting a global, round-the-clock environment. You can expect to work night shifts for roughly two weeks in a month, with the remaining weeks scheduled during morning hours.

Requirements:

• A master's or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• 1 to 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and logical reasoning skills, as well as the ability to adhere to timelines while delivering their responsibilities.
• An extraordinary record of academic achievements, excellent interpersonal, organisational, and analytical skills, along with exceptional verbal acuity and command of detail.
• Exposure to scripting, shell commands and familiarity with at least one programming language such as C, C++, Python or Java.
• A good understanding of core CS concepts like databases, operating systems, and networking.
• The ability to partner with cross-functional operations and technology teams to solve problems and identify improvement opportunities.
• The judgement to escalate issues that require code changes to developers.
• The ability to work in a global and diverse team.
• The willingness and flexibility to work in a rotational shift model, including night shifts for approximately two weeks a month and morning shifts for the rest of the month.

Preferred qualifications:

• Exposure to GAI projects.
• GAI academic qualifications/certifications.
