About the role
D-Wave is seeking a talented and self-motivated Quantum Engineer II to join our Advance Device Development group. In this role, you will develop and execute measurements for advanced quantum device characterization, analyze device performance data, and support the validation of new device concepts. You will improve experimental workflows, contribute to experiment automation and data-analysis capabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback into device-development cycles.
What you'll do
- Design and perform microwave, electrical, and cryogenic measurements
- Maintain andoptimizecryogenic and measurement systems, including associated workflows, to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency
- Develop and execute experiments for device characterization and validation
- Perform data analysis toidentifydevice performance characteristics and key contributing factors
- Develop andmaintainexperiment automation and data-analysis pipelines
- Identifyprocedure or tool issues and help implement practical improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support device evaluation and provide experimental feedback into development cycles
- Maintain well-organized documentation of methods, results, and datasets
About You
- M.Sc.and/or2 yearsofrelevant experience; orPhD in physics, electrical engineering, or related field
- Experience with superconducting quantum devices, device physics, and measurement techniques
- Experience in DC/RF measurements and cryogenic systems
- Proficiencyin scientific programming for instrument control, data acquisition, analysis, and automation
- Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot technical issues, andidentifypractical solutions
- Strong written and verbal scientific communication skills
- Strong teamwork skills in interdisciplinary physics and engineering environments

The base pay range for this role is:
$86,800 - 130,300 USD(New Haven)
