What really sets us apart? Our people. Here, your ideas matter, your energy fuels success, and you’ll be part of a fast-paced, supportive team that’s shaping the future of logistics.

Purpose Of the Role:

As a strategic account executive, your primary responsibility will be to successfully execute the sales process to generate revenue growth and profitability through initiation and development of business opportunities with new and existing customers within a designated geographic territory and in line with Dachser’s strategic business goals

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the regional market.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers through networking, referrals, prospecting and cold calling.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and understand their business and logistics requirements.
  • Prepare competitive quotations, pricing proposals and customer solutions.
  • Achieve agreed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to securing new business.
  • Identify tailored logistics solutions across road freight, air freight, sea freight, contract logistics and value-added services.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales activity and opportunities within the DACHSER CRM system.
  • Produce regular sales reports and pipeline updates.
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Hold regular customer meetings to review performance, discuss challenges and identify future opportunities.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure customer solutions meet both commercial and operational requirements.
  • Represent DACHSER professionally, using a consultative and value-led approach to sales.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Minimum 2 years’ B2B sales/business development experience within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.

  • Proven experience generating and securing new business, rather than purely account management.

  • Experience in a field-based sales role, managing a geographic territory and customer pipeline.

  • Strong understanding of freight/logistics solutions, ideally road freight, with air, sea or contract logistics experience also considered.

  • Proven experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and cold calling through to quotation, negotiation and securing new customers.

  • Ability to demonstrate a track record of achieving sales and revenue targets.
