Python Technical Lead

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead - Python & MIRAI Program to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and hands-on development expertise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing end-to-end Python applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

This is an Individual Contributor (IC) leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, architectural thinking, mentoring capabilities, and the ability to drive engineering best practices. Exposure to Generative AI, FastAPI, and modern AI-driven application development will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Architecture :

- Lead the technical design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance Python applications.

- Define application architecture, technical standards, design patterns, and development best practices.

- Make appropriate technology and architecture decisions based on business and technical requirements.

- Drive performance optimization, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and security across applications.

- Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance on architecture, design, and implementation.

Python & Backend Development :

- Develop robust and scalable backend applications using Python.

- Design and develop high-performance RESTful APIs using FastAPI.

- Implement asynchronous programming and optimize backend services for performance and scalability.

- Write clean, reusable, testable, and maintainable code.

- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root-cause analysis.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, design principles, and software engineering best practices.

MIRAI Program & Technical Mentoring :

- Act as a Technical Mentor for the Python & MIRAI program.

- Mentor developers and engineers on Python, backend development, architecture, and engineering practices.

- Conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions, code reviews, and hands-on mentoring.

- Support team members in solving complex technical challenges and improving their engineering capabilities.

- Encourage adoption of modern technologies, tools, and development methodologies.

Generative AI :

- Explore and contribute to Generative AI-based solutions and applications.

- Identify opportunities to integrate AI capabilities into existing and new Python applications.

- Work with AI/ML teams to integrate Generative AI models and services into production applications.

- Stay current with emerging developments in Generative AI and apply relevant technologies to business use cases.

Collaboration & Delivery :

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Participate in technical discussions, solution reviews, and engineering initiatives.

- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and engineering excellence.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with Python.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Python application development.

- Strong experience designing end-to-end applications with a focus on scalability, performance, reliability, and security.

- Hands-on experience with FastAPI and RESTful API development.

- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Experience conducting code reviews and providing technical mentorship.

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering best practices.

- Experience working as a Technical Lead / Senior Individual Contributor.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
