The Senior Director Finance, Global Controller will provide enterprise-level leadership across Radiometer’s global Finance organization, with responsibility for accounting, financial compliance, internal controls, consolidation, and reporting. In this highly visible role, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Radiometer’s consolidated financial results while translating complex financial information into clear insights and guidance for the President, CFO, and senior business leaders. You will lead a global team of approximately 70 associates, including XXX direct reports and leaders across the Financial Shared Services Center in Poland, headquarters accounting, global financial and tax compliance, and group consolidation and reporting. Success in this role requires strong technical accounting expertise, sound business judgment, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to lead, influence, and drive results in a global matrix environment.
This position reports to the Radiometer CFO and is a member of the Radiometer Global Finance Leadership Team. The role is remote and ideally based near a major metropolitan area and/or international airport, with practical connectivity to Radiometer headquarters in Copenhagen and alignment with Central European Time.
In this role, you will help shape and strengthen Radiometer’s global Finance organization. You will act as a trusted partner to the CFO, VP Finance, and senior leadership team, driving financial rigor, scalable processes, and talent development while contributing to Radiometer’s growth within Danaher.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Set and sustain high standards for consolidated group reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, Danaher policies, and internal control requirements; provide clear analysis, robust plausibility checks, and insight into business performance.
Drive accurate, timely, and efficient reporting to Danaher Corporate, including strategic plan financials, annual budget, forecasts, weekly bookings and sales, monthly P&L, balance sheet and statistical reporting, and tax-related deliverables in close partnership with FP&A and tax stakeholders.
Lead the Radiometer Finance Shared Service model, including adapting to any strategic changes initated in Radiometer or Danaher, and driving the automation of activities in the Shared Service Centre to strive towards high-end benchmark levels of quality and efficiency.
Partner closely with the Global FP&A Leader and broader leadership team to provide financial analysis, decision support, and actionable recommendations that improve business performance and enable sound strategic choices.
Lead transformation initiatives within Finance and across the business by applying Danaher Business System principles to simplify processes, improve quality, increase transparency, and build scalable ways of working.
Own and influence working capital performance in partnership with relevant stakeholders, with specific focus on DSO and DPO, while driving accountability, visibility, and sustainable improvements.
Lead, develop, and engage a global team of leaders and specialists, with a strong focus on associate development, succession planning, retention, inclusion, and building organizational capability for the future.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with 15+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, including successful leadership in complex, global, and dynamic business environments. Strong track record in accounting, controllership, compliance, internal controls, financial management, and business partnership, with proven knowledge of US GAAP and at least 3 years of experience in a publicly traded US corporation.
7+ years of people leadership experience, including leading large, geographically dispersed teams, remote leaders, and specialist functions across multiple countries.
Strong practical experience with ERP, consolidation, and financial reporting systems operating at scale, with the ability to improve process effectiveness, data quality, and reporting reliability.
Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to inspire, develop, engage, and retain diverse, multinational, and multicultural teams while building a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences. Strong executive presence, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence across functions, geographies, and organizational levels.
Ability to think beyond traditional finance boundaries, operate with sound judgment in ambiguity, and lead through change with resilience, pace, and a bias for action in a high-growth, performance-oriented environment.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires business travel across regions and countries up to 30%, including regular presence at Radiometer headquarters in Copenhagen and the Financial Shared Services Center in Stargard, Poland.
