Join our Data Strategy & Architecture team in Ljubljana-Šentvid, Slovenia, and help build the data foundation that powers AI, machine learning, forecasting, and analytics across Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives.
As a Data Engineer, you will transform data from systems such as SAP, CRM platforms, and other enterprise sources into trusted data products. Your work will enable smarter decisions, accelerate AI adoption, and bring new data-driven solutions from idea to production faster.
You'll be part of a collaborative team that embraces modern technologies, continuous learning, and experimentation. Together, we build scalable data solutions that create real business impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build and maintain data pipelines and data products that support AI solutions, analytics, dashboards, and business reporting
Partner with stakeholders across sales, product management, engineering, and IT to understand requirements and turn them into scalable data solutions
Develop and optimize solutions using Python, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks, balancing performance, reliability, and maintainability
Apply modern engineering practices including Git, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and documentation to deliver production-ready solutions
Monitor and improve data and ML pipelines, ensuring high levels of data quality, operational stability, and cost efficiency
What We're Looking For
Relevant degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, mathematics, statistics, or similar, or equivalent experience
Experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, with a track record of building data pipelines and data products
Solid skills in Python, SQL, data modelling, and Databricks or similar cloud data platforms
Experience with modern engineering practices, including Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and source control
Confidence working with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
Fluent communication skills in English
