Join Danfoss Power Solutions in Sofia as a Lead Engineer, Data and help build the data foundation powering our growing AI Hub. As Danfoss accelerates its AI journey, trusted, scalable, and well-governed data is critical to turning AI ambitions into measurable business results. In this role, you will help create the platform that enables AI, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will play a key role in establishing both the technical foundation and the engineering practices of a team that is currently being built. Working closely with data, analytics, AI, and business teams, you will define architectures, governance standards, and AI-ready data products that allow solutions to scale globally. Beyond your technical contributions, you will provide day-to-day technical leadership, mentor team members, and help shape the culture, standards, and ways of working of the AI Hub. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on engineering with the chance to influence the direction of a growing team from the very beginning.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Enable AI and analytics at scale by building and evolving trusted Databricks-based data platforms, architectures, and data products.
• Deliver reliable, AI-ready data by designing and maintaining scalable data models, pipelines, and integration frameworks that support critical business use cases.
• Establish best practices for data governance, security, quality, and platform management, ensuring data can be used confidently across the organization.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a growing team, helping define engineering standards, ways of working, and development practices.
• Drive adoption of data and AI solutions by partnering with engineers, analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders across Danfoss Power Solutions.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining scalable data architectures, data models, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, data security, and access management practices.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and collaborate effectively in fluent English with both technical and business stakeholders.
