We are truly passionate about investment, and innovation, as we continue to support our customers' journey towards a greener and lower-carbon future. Our Power Solutions division is a market leader in fluid power solutions for mobile and industrial applications, with a strategic focus to win in distribution.

As a result of an internal move, we now have an exciting opportunity in our Distribution Sales for a self-driven Senior Account Manager for our North-West region, covering primarily the UK and Ireland.

In this role you'll take ownership of profitable sales growth and customer relationships across assigned distribution accounts. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with our external partners and other Danfoss business units to promote and expand our business via distribution partners by developing long-term account strategies, expanding our portfolio share with our distribution partners, and turning customer needs and market opportunities into sustainable growth.

The position is home-office based or, depending on your location, offers a hybrid working arrangement, with an expectation of approximately 30% travel primarily within the UK & Ireland.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute account growth plans that strengthen our distribution partners and deliver agreed sales and profitability goals.
  • Drive business by identification and development of new sales opportunities, using our CRM system to maintain a transparent opportunity pipeline.
  • Provide technical insight to guide distribution partners and identify when specialist technical expertise should be involved. Support the distribution partner in sales to end customers
  • Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers and support distribution partners in strengthening their position in local markets.
  • Promote current solutions and new innovations by demonstrating their applications and customer value.
  • Inside Danfoss Power Solutions, collaborate across application engineering, business units, sales, order management, product management, supply chain, and R&D to ensure coordinated customer support.
  • Monitor competitors, market and technology trends; and convert insights into focused actions with your distribution partners.

What We're Looking For

We'd expect candidates to demonstate degree level education in Engineering or a similar related field, alongside a proven track record in sales, account management, or distribution. Knowledge of hydraulics, fluid conveyance, electronics, and/or electrification is equally a must. In addition, candidates should show:

  • Motivation to create results through strong partnerships.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, international environment, juggling multiple tasks and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build relationships across the organizations.
  • Proactivity and open-mindedness, and with an efficient and independent way of working
  • Fluent in English - written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel within role.

  • We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
  • You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
  • We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
  • You’ll receive benefits like annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about-we think they’re pretty great.
