Danfoss is a Danish engineering group headquartered in Nordborg that makes mechanical and electronic components for climate solutions, power solutions and drives, including valves, compressors, heat exchangers, hydraulics and frequency converters. Founded in 1933 by Mads Clausen and still family-owned, it runs factories and engineering sites across Europe, the Americas and Asia, with large teams in Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Mexico, India, China and Slovenia. Its careers board lists quality, test and application engineers, production operators and assemblers, project and sales engineers, and student workers.

The Impact You'll Make

At Danfoss Drives, our success depends on strong supplier partnerships and reliable material flow. As a Supplier Operations Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring components are available when needed, helping our manufacturing operations deliver high-quality products to customers around the world.

In this role, you will serve as a key connection between suppliers, internal teams, and operations. Your work will help drive supplier performance, resolve supply challenges quickly, and support continuous improvements that keep our business moving forward.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitor supplier performance and manage daily purchase order activity, proactively resolving exceptions, late deliveries, and supply risks to maintain material availability.

  • Partner closely with EMS and magnetic suppliers to improve on-time delivery, manage lead time changes, monitor capacity, and ensure inventory commitments are met.

  • Act as the first point of escalation for material shortages, shipping discrepancies, missing documentation, quantity variances, and invoice-related issues.

  • Supportsupplier onboarding, sourcing activities, project initiatives, broker purchases, and cost improvement efforts while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, communicate updates on engineering changes, concessions, and business priorities, and prepare meeting notes, reports, charts, and performance metrics.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or an EMS environment.

  • Experience working with supplier management, purchasing, materials planning, logistics, or inventory control processes.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and build effective supplier relationships.

  • Ability to analyze data, track performance metrics, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require, up to 20%.

What You'll Get from Us

  • We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
  • You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
  • We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
