Senior Frontend Engineer — Drupal (Hyderabad-based)

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with strong Drupal experience to design, build, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise digital experiences. This is a frontend-first role that combines modern frontend engineering with production-level Drupal component and theming expertise.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, modern CSS/Sass, accessibility, responsive design, and React or a comparable frontend framework. They should also have solid Drupal knowledge and be able to work independently in the theming and rendering layer, diagnose frontend-related issues, and collaborate effectively with backend and platform teams when problems span multiple layers.

This position is intended for Hyderabad-based candidates who are available to work from the office.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, responsive, accessible, and performant frontend experiences for enterprise Drupal applications
• Build reusable UI components using HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Develop and maintain client-side functionality using React or a comparable modern frontend framework
• Translate UX/UI designs and design-system specifications into production-ready components
• Build and maintain Drupal components and templates independently for routine frontend work
• Contribute to frontend architecture, coding standards, reusable patterns, testing practices, and component-library strategy
• Diagnose rendering, caching, configuration, or integration issues that affect frontend behavior
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and production troubleshooting
• Collaborate with UX, backend, QA, DevOps, and product teams

• 6+ years of professional frontend or web application development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on Drupal development experience, or equivalent proficiency in Drupal theming and rendering layers
• Advanced proficiency with HTML, modern CSS/Sass, responsive design, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Production experience with React or another modern component-based frontend framework
• Hands-on experience with Twig and Drupal concepts such as preprocess functions, render arrays, Views, Blocks, entities, and fields
• Working understanding of Drupal caching, including render cache, cache tags, cache contexts, invalidation, and asset aggregation
• Ability to read PHP to trace how custom modules or backend logic affect frontend behavior
• Experience building reusable, component-driven UI architectures and integrating frontend applications with APIs
• Strong understanding of accessibility and WCAG-aligned interfaces
• Strong Git workflow habits and familiarity with modern frontend tooling
• Working familiarity with Composer and Drush
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and collaborate across engineering disciplines

• Hands-on experience with Acquia Site Studio/Cohesion
• Experience with Drupal Single-Directory Components (SDC) or Drupal Canvas
• Experience with Drupal 10/11
• Familiarity with Drupal configuration management and custom-module structures
• Experience with automated frontend testing and CI/CD quality gates
• Experience with large-scale or multi-site Drupal platforms
