Client
A well-established online travel company based in the Netherlands that helps hundreds of thousands of travellers find and book affordable holidays, including package deals, flights, and hotels at sharp prices. The business runs on its own in-house platform, so engineering decisions have a direct and visible effect on how customers search, compare, and book their trips.
Project overview
Tools Portal is a collection of internal tools built to support different operational tasks and make everyday processes easier to manage. One of its main applications is Booking Admin, designed for travel agents to view, manage, and process bookings made through the booking system. It provides a central place for handling reservations and keeping booking information up to date.
The portal is built on Ruby on Rails 8.1, and applications across the client's ecosystem are hosted on a combination of on-premises infrastructure and Google Cloud Platform.
