Senior Designer

We are looking for a talented and highly experienced Senior Static Designer to join our internal creative team, specialising in the world of US regional sports.

You will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging static marketing creative, across major US sports rights, including the NBA, NHL and MLB. Translating live sporting moments, team narratives, player stories, promotions and commercial campaigns into visually compelling content.

This is a fast-paced role suited to a designer who understands both premium sports design and the speed of digital publishing. You’ll need a strong eye for typography, composition, image selection and visual storytelling, alongside an understanding of the different audiences, cultures and visual identities within US sports.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design high-quality static creative for key major rights on DAZN US, such as MLB, NBA and NHL.
• Create marketing campaign assets for social media, digital campaigns, editorial content, promotions and marketing initiatives.
• Develop game-day and event-driven creative, including pre-game, live-game, post-game and breaking-news graphics.
• Design player-focused content, matchup graphics, statistics, rankings, records, milestones and team-related creative.
• Translate creative briefs, concepts and data into visually compelling designs.
• Work within established global DAZN brand guidelines to bring fresh ideas and creative approaches to the work.
• Adapt designs across multiple formats and platforms, including social, web, mobile and digital advertising.
• Produce multiple creative variations efficiently while maintaining a consistently high standard, utilising automation tools where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with a global creative team (Balboa Global) which includes other designers, copywriters, editors, content producers, motion designers.
• Respond quickly to time-sensitive creative requests around major games, events and sports news.
• Stay current with trends in sports design, social media, typography, photography, illustration and digital culture.
• Ensure all creative is accurate, polished and appropriate for the relevant sports, teams and audiences.
• Help establish and evolve design systems, templates and visual standards across sports content.
• Lean into automation technological developments and appropriate Ai use.

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within sports, media, entertainment, advertising or digital publishing.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional static graphic design and visual storytelling.
• Strong understanding of US sports, particularly NBA, MLB and NHL.
• Excellent knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong typography, composition, color, hierarchy and image-editing skills.
• Experience creating social-first creative for platforms such as Instagram, X, Facebook and TikTok.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with player names, team information, statistics and game data.
• Ability to interpret a brief and independently develop a strong creative solution.
• Comfortable handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A genuine passion for sports and an understanding of how sports fans consume content digitally.
