Database Administrator / Engineer (PostgreSQL / Cloud Migration)

Due to our ongoing growth and the large number of recruitment projects we undertake for our partners, we are currently looking for: Database Administrator / Engineer (PostgreSQL / Cloud Migration)

Responsibilities:

• Migrate PostgreSQL databases from on-premises platforms to Google Cloud

• Support and maintain PostgreSQL running on VM-based and/or managed cloud services

• Perform core database administration tasks, including upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and optimization

• Support the onboarding of various applications to the new PostgreSQL platforms

• Troubleshoot incidents and actively support change and release management activities

• Collaborate closely with cloud infrastructure, security, and application stakeholders

• Create and maintain detailed documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles

Requirements:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA / Database Engineer

• Deep technical knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, performance tuning, and configuration

• Proven experience executing database migrations from on-premises environments to the cloud

• Practical experience running PostgreSQL on cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred)

• Solid understanding of replication, backup, recovery, and High Availability (HA) concepts

• Experience supporting critical systems in large enterprise or regulated environments

Nice to have:

• Experience with native PostgreSQL managed services and Google Cloud infrastructure

• Proficiency in automation and scripting

• Familiarity with cloud networking security and compliance requirements
