We have an open requirement for a Senior Data Engineer / Tech Lead - Databricks & FastAP I to join a long-term project with a major international Swiss investment bank.

Work mode: Hybrid - 3 days per week in Kraków

Experience Required: 7+ Years

Key Skills (Must Have):

  • Strong experience in Data Engineering and Python development.

  • Hands-on expertise in FastAPI, including API development and enhancements.

  • Extensive knowledge of Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake.

  • Experience with Unity Catalog migrations.

  • Strong background in Databricks Structured Streaming and real-time data processing.

  • Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, and Informatica.

  • Ability to independently design and implement scalable data engineering solutions.

  • Understanding of the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Azure Cloud and Databricks administration.

  • CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.

  • Spark performance tuning and optimization.

  • Technical leadership and stakeholder management experience.

  • Databricks certifications would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance FastAPI-based services and integrations.

  • Build scalableETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and PySpark.

  • Lead Unity Catalog migration and data modernization initiatives.

  • Implement and optimize real-time streaming solutions.

  • Collaborate with business and engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade data solutions.
