Data Platform & IT Services Coordinator

Are you a senior SQL Server expert who is ready to lead? Do you want to move beyond database administration into a role with real influence on how IT runs?

We are looking for a Data Platform & IT Services Coordinator to own our data platform, lead a talented international team and, over time, take on broader coordination across IT Services and BT Operations.

This is not a "pure DBA" role. It is a technical leadership position with a clear path to a wider management role.

What you'll do

Data Platform Leadership (~60%)

• Own the availability, performance and security of our Microsoft SQL Server estate, both on-premises and in Azure
• Lead the evolution of our data architecture and set technical standards and best practices
• Oversee backup, recovery and disaster recovery strategies
• Coordinate 24/7 operational support and keep improving our data platforms

IT Services Leadership (~40%)

• Coordinate operational priorities and activities across IT
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Contribute to digital transformation and Security & Risk Management initiatives
• Help evolve IT Service Management practices and the Service Desk
• Support vendor management, budget planning and continuous improvement programs

People Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop a team of 4 across two countries
• Align technical teams with business needs
• Create an environment of ownership, quality and continuous learning

What you bring

Must-haves

• Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration
• Solid background in Data Platform operations, including business-critical environments
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
• Experience leading or coordinating teams, or a clear readiness to step into people leadership

Nice-to-haves

• IT Service Management (ITSM) or Service Desk experience
• Exposure to other IT Operations domains
• Project management experience
• Background in security and risk management
