This role partners with business units, IT teams, and vendors to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that connect core banking, digital banking, lending, payments, and third-party systems. The position is also responsible for ensuring all development and integration activities align with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for security, data protection, auditability, and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Develops integrations that support core banking functions including inquiries, transactions, file maintenance, account/member data exchange, and other authorized SymXchange-enabled capabilities. Creates and maintains application code, scripts, services, APIs, scheduled jobs, and utilities using approved development languages and frameworks such as .NET/C#, Java, Python, PowerShell, SQL, or comparable technologies. Works with SOAP/XML/WSDL-based services, REST/JSON APIs, secures file transfer, database connectivity, and authentication patterns used across enterprise and vendor systems.
  • Vendor, Business Partner & Stakeholder Collaboration: Partners with Jack Henry, third-party vendors, business units, and internal IT teams to define integration requirements, validate connectivity, troubleshoot issues, and support production implementations. Provides knowledge transfer, training, and technical support to IT staff, business users, and support teams as needed.
  • Security, Compliance & Controls: Develops and maintains secure handling of credentials, certificates, API keys, service accounts, encryption, secrets management, role-based access, and least-privilege permissions. Uses source control, change management, deployment standards, peer review, and release practices to ensure code and configurations are controlled and traceable.
  • Testing, Monitoring & Operational Reliability: Implements logging, monitoring, alerting, exception handling, retry logic, reconciliation controls, and operational dashboards to ensure integrations are reliable, supportable, and auditable. Performs unit, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing to verify that solutions meet functional, security, compliance, and business continuity requirements. Supports data quality, reconciliation, validation, and exception reporting for integrations that exchange member, account, loan, payment, and operational data.
  • Production Support & Issue Resolution: Troubleshoots incidents and production issues by performing root-cause analysis, reviewing logs, validating data flows, coordinating with vendors, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Participates in occasional after-hours maintenance, deployments, incident response, or vendor coordination when required to support production systems.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintains technical documentation including requirements, interface specifications, data mappings, API/service documentation, configuration details, runbooks, test evidence, change records, and support procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
