Role Summary
This is a build role: the Manager will stand up the data governance function from the ground up, including policy, process, team, and tooling. The mandate spans account hierarchy integrity, customer hierarchy controls, OFAC/sanctions screening, and account-creation gatekeeping - all delivered through an AI-first operating model where automation handles detection and research, and humans make or approve final changes to transactional systems.
What you´ll do
Data Governance Policy & Team Build-Out
· Design and stand up Delinea's data governance policy covering account hierarchy structure, deduplication standards, and change control in collaboration with key stakeholders.
· Build, hire, and lead a Mexico City-based team of data governance analysts, establishing team structure, workflows, and performance standards.
· Define and document standard operating procedures for all core data governance workflows.
Account Hierarchy Integrity
· Own the accuracy of account hierarchy relationships in Salesforce, with particular focus on Global, Strategic, and Enterprise accounts.
· Establish and maintain an accurate, single source-of-truth Delinea customer hierarchy, with controls governing any hierarchy changes.
· Eliminate and prevent account/contact duplication through proactive monitoring and remediation processes.
· Ensure hierarchy and customer count data is maintained to a standard suitable to feed official customer counts in a future IPO-ready organization, including clear audit trails for all changes.
OFAC / Sanctions Screening
· Establish and own a process for OFAC screening on both in-process deals and channel-sourced opportunities.
· Ensure screening occurs as early as possible in the opportunity management process and always before booking.
· Maintain clear escalation and resolution procedures for flagged matches, in partnership with Legal/Compliance.
Account Creation Gateway & SLAs
· Act as the gateway for all new account creation in Salesforce, ensuring new accounts are properly researched and correctly placed within the customer hierarchy before creation.
· Establish and maintain SLAs for account research and creation turnaround time.
· Monitor SLA performance and continuously improve account-creation throughput without compromising data quality.
AI-First Operating Model
· Take an AI-first approach to the function, leveraging automation and AI tooling to handle detection, matching, research, and flagging at scale.
· Reserve human effort for making and approving final changes to transactional databases, ensuring appropriate control and accountability sit with people, not automation.
· Continuously evaluate new AI/automation tooling to improve accuracy, speed, and analyst productivity.
What you´ll need
· 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or Salesforce data operations, including experience with account/customer hierarchy management.
· 2+ years of people management experience, ideally building or scaling a new team.
· Direct experience with Salesforce account/contact data models; experience with data quality/dedup tooling (e.g., Openprise, Data.com, Cloudingo, Validity (DemandTools) strongly preferred.
· Familiarity with OFAC/sanctions screening processes and tools, or strong ability to quickly learn and implement compliance-driven workflows.
· Experience establishing SLAs and operating within a controls-oriented environment; exposure to SOX or IPO-readiness data controls a strong plus.
· Demonstrated interest in and experience applying AI/automation tools to data quality or operations workflows.
· Fluent English required; based in Mexico City.
· Bachelor's degree required.
