LabCentralis hiring anEnvironmental Health and Safety,SeniorAssociateto support our laboratories inCambridge. This role reports directly to the EHS,AssociateDirector.You will be a strong fit for this role if you have 1-2 years’ relevant experience in the EHS field. We are looking for a self-directed, organized individual who enjoys working with scientists to understand their cutting-edge science and support their safety and compliance needs.

What will I do?
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day is focused on ensuring that the laboratories are operatingsafelyand residents have proper resources to sustain a safe working environment. Every day is different, so flexibility and responsiveness are key while delivering value on projects and other commitments.
- Be a champion of safetyand proactively look for chances to encourage staff and residents to do the same
- Provide direction to residents and staff to ensure a safe and compliant workplace
- Support the EHS teamin hazard assessments and project registration reviews with a focus on biological safety
- Participate in,help prepare for,and coordinate LabCentral’sInstitutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) meetings
- Aidin managing hazardous waste program
- Assistwith the implementation and further development of EHS programs
- Act as liaison with EHS contractors and LabCentralstaff and residents
- Coordinate EHS activities and communications for staff and resident companies
- Support the EHS Associate Directorin hazard assessments and project registration reviews
- Serve as an emergency coordinator
- Conduct and participatein organization ofemergency and evacuation planning and response
- Enhance EHS training offerings for staff and residents
- Track and schedule required trainings for staff
- Participate in incident investigations and help to ensure root cause and corrective and preventive measures are identifiedand implemented
- Maintain permits and registrations in accordance withlocal, state,and federal requirements
- Other responsibilities as needed and appropriate tosupport staff and our residentsafety programs

- Ability to work on location in Cambridge, MA including occasional after-hours as needed
- Must be willing to obtain or have OSHA HAZWOPER, EPA RCRA,and DOT training certifications

- Ability to interact with all levels of employees and residents
- Ability to ask questions to understand novel, complex technologiesand the potential impact on EHS programs

Work environment:
- Fully onsite at our locations in Cambridge during regular business hours

Compensation
Our compensation philosophy is intentional and researched to align with average market salaries; comprehensive, generous benefits to support overall well-being; and parity with our existing and future team members. Below details the value of what our compensation package may look like, but specific details pertaining to an individual will vary.
Salary range: $55-66k along with the potential to earn a bonus of 7% based on company performance.
Approximate monetary value of benefits (based off an individual - dependents increase value): $22,000.
