Delivery Hero is a German company founded in Berlin in 2011 that operates online food ordering and delivery platforms in more than seventy countries, mostly under local brands rather than a single global name. Its network includes Talabat in the Middle East, foodpanda across Asia, PedidosYa in Latin America, Yemeksepeti in Turkey and Glovo in southern Europe and Africa, alongside a large quick commerce business running its own dark stores for grocery delivery. Listed in Frankfurt, the group has been consolidating its portfolio and listing regional units separately to close the gap between its market value and the value of its parts.

As the world’s pioneering local delivery platform, our mission is to deliver an amazing experience, fast, easy, and to your door. We operate in around 65 countries worldwide, powered by tech, designed by people. As one of Europe’s largest tech platforms, headquartered in Berlin, Germany, Delivery Hero has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017 and is part of the MDAX stock market index. We push hard, learn quickly and stay human along the way. It’s this wonderful mix of high performance and real community that makes Delivery Hero a place where ambition and belonging grow side by side. If you’re curious, collaborative and ready to dive deep into meaningful work, you’ll fit right in.

We are on the lookout for a Compliance Manager to join the Global GRC team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences in our office in Berlin.

The Compliance Manager is part of the Global GRC team in Berlin, overseeing the compliance management system across Delivery Hero Group. Responsibilities include developing policies, conducting risk assessments, delivering compliance awareness programmes and driving continuous monitoring and improvement. The role focuses on key compliance areas: ethical conduct, international economic sanctions screening, human rights due diligence, anti-bribery and corruption controls, internal investigations and policy framework maintenance. The officer serves as a deputy to the Global Head of Compliance, and represents the latter towards internal and external stakeholders. In addition he/she advises senior stakeholders, leads a compliance team in Berlin, provides expert guidance and applies a risk-based approach whilst maintaining high ethical standards.

  • Oversee and strengthen the group's financial crime and compliance control environment by conducting compliance risk assessments, evaluating the effectiveness of controls, identifying improvement opportunities, and partnering with business stakeholders to implement risk-based enhancements.
  • Drive compliance monitoring, testing, and assurance activities across the group, identifying compliance gaps, recommending remediation actions, supporting corrective action implementation, and reporting findings, risks, and progress to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the group subject matter expert for key regulatory compliance topics, including Anti-Bribery & Corruption, International Economic Sanctions, Human Rights Violations and related requirements, proactively advising stakeholders on regulatory developments, industry trends, enforcement actions, and business impacts.
  • Provide trusted, risk-based compliance advisory support and stakeholder engagement, acting as the primary contact for complex compliance inquiries, delivering training and awareness programs, fostering a strong culture of integrity and accountability, and influencing senior leaders to strengthen compliance outcomes.
  • Lead complex compliance investigations and strategic compliance initiatives, including whistleblower cases, internal investigations, compliance reviews, and the resolution of sensitive matters, while contributing to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the group’s compliance programme.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related discipline, with 7+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or related functions, preferably within international and fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in people management, including leading and developing small teams.
  • Strong expertise in compliance frameworks, including Anti-Bribery & Corruption, International Economic Sanctions, CSRD, and other regulatory and governance requirements.
