Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Strategic Counsel

  • Lead the overall day-to-day management of the Hanwha global communications account, ensuring strong client partnership, proactive counsel, and high-quality delivery.

  • Serve as a senior point of contact for the client across integrated digital and communications workstreams, including social channels, website/newsroom, newsletter, paid media, content partnerships, research, awards, executive/profile-related work, and global licensing-related support.

  • Provide strategic recommendations that connect client business priorities with communications, digital, content, and channel strategies.

  • Anticipate client needs, identify risks or opportunities early, and guide the team toward solutions that are practical, strategic, and aligned with global standards.

  • Support senior leadership in account planning, annual/quarterly strategy development, scope management, and client relationship building.

Integrated Digital & Content Strategy

  • Oversee integrated content and digital strategy across key channels including YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, website/newsroom, newsletter, short-form content, and paid media.

  • Guide the team in developing content strategies that are relevant for global audiences and aligned with the client’s corporate narrative, industry priorities, and brand positioning.

  • Ensure strong editorial and quality control across content outputs, including social content, PR materials, newsroom articles, newsletters, videos, and campaign assets.

  • Work closely with Editorial and Creative Studio teams to ensure that content is strategically sound, creatively effective, and delivered on time.

  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing channel performance, audience insights, content effectiveness, and paid media results.

Account Operations & Project Management

  • Lead overall account operations, including workstream coordination, workflow management, team resourcing, timeline management, budget tracking, and issue escalation.

  • Ensure clear roles and responsibilities across channel leads, content leads, paid media leads, website/newsroom leads, editorial partners, creative teams, and external vendors.

  • Oversee complex multi-workstream deliverables involving internal Edelman teams, global/regional stakeholders, client teams, and external partners such as digital solutions providers.

  • Maintain high standards for operational discipline, including status reporting, meeting agendas, action tracking, approval processes, and delivery timelines.

  • Support budget planning, fee management, and scope tracking in close coordination with senior leadership and finance/operations teams.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Manage and mentor a multi-level account team, providing clear direction, feedback, coaching, and support.

  • Create an effective working rhythm across the team to ensure accountability, collaboration, and quality.

  • Help junior and mid-level team members strengthen their skills in client communication, digital strategy, project management, content planning, and reporting.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented team culture, especially across cross-functional teams and partner groups.

  • Identify team capacity issues, resource needs, and development opportunities, escalating where appropriate.

Quality Control & Risk Management

  • Ensure all client-facing materials meet Edelman standards for strategic clarity, accuracy, writing quality, formatting, and professionalism.

  • Review and guide sensitive or high-visibility deliverables, including executive communications, corporate content, strategic recommendations, reports, and presentations.

  • Manage approval processes and help the team navigate complex client feedback, internal reviews, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Identify potential risks related to timelines, quality, scope, client expectations, or reputational sensitivity, and recommend solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 8-12+ years of experience in communications, PR, digital marketing, integrated communications, corporate communications, or agency account management.

  • Strong experience managing large-scale corporate or B2B accounts, preferably involving global clients and industrial sectors.

  • Proven ability to lead integrated workstreams across digital, social, editorial, website, paid media, content, and reporting.

  • Proven experience managing sizable annual client budgets across complex, multi-workstream accounts, including forecasting, scope management, vendor/partner cost oversight, and budget reporting.

  • Strong client management skills, including the ability to provide strategic counsel, manage expectations, lead meetings, and build trusted relationships.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of social and digital channel strategy, content planning, paid media coordination, and performance reporting.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills in English and Korean.

  • Experience managing and mentoring junior and mid-level team members.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including editorial, creative, digital media, analytics, production, and external partners.

  • High attention to detail, strong judgment, and the ability to maintain quality under tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with global or regional communications teams.

  • Experience managing corporate newsroom, website, newsletter, executive profile, awards, or thought leadership programs.

  • Understanding of B2B communications, corporate reputation, public affairs, ESG/sustainability, energy transition, defense, maritime/ocean industries, or advanced technology sectors.

  • Experience with digital analytics platforms, social media performance reporting, paid media reporting, GA/website analytics, or dashboard-based reporting.

  • Previous experience in a global PR agency or integrated communications agency environment.
