At Plata Management Inc., we are on a mission to revolutionize the transportation and logistics industry with our innovative cloud-based platform. As an early-stage software company, we are looking for a talented senior full-stack software engineer & senior QA engineer to join our small, senior team and help us take our product to the next level.
Location:
On-site at our regional office for the introductory period of 1 month, with the option to work remotely afterward.

In this role, you will own features end to end across our web and mobile platform, focusing on complex business workflows where data accuracy, security, and reliability are paramount. As part of a small group of senior engineers, you will also contribute to shaping our architecture and engineering standards.
What You'll Do
Ship Features End to End: Design the data model, API, user interface, tests, and rollout for new product areas.
Build Complex Business Workflows: Ensure calculations, records, and permissions are executed flawlessly.
Protect Customer Data: Implement secure design, access control, and careful handling of secrets in everything you build.
Evolve the Database Safely: Focus on relational schema design, query performance, and reversible migrations.
Integrate with Third-Party Systems: Use APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and file-based feeds while managing failures gracefully.
Strengthen the Platform: Enhance performance, reliability, observability, and CI/CD in the cloud.
Raise the Bar: Review code, write design notes, mentor teammates, and collaborate closely with mobile and QA teams.

Frontend: React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS
Mobile: Flutter (iOS and Android)

Requirements
What You'll Bring7+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in building production web applications.
Strong Python backend experience (FastAPI preferred; Django or Flask welcome).
Proficiency in React and TypeScript for data-heavy interfaces.
Deep PostgreSQL expertise in schema design and query performance.
A security mindset in building SaaS products.
Experience with third-party API integration and failure management.
Precision in calculations, dates, and time zones, along with a habit of writing tests.
Hands-on AWS and CI/CD experience.
Clear written English and comfort with code reviews and trunk-based development.
Experience in transportation, logistics, or B2B SaaS.
Flutter/Dart mobile development experience.
Familiarity with LLM APIs and AI coding tools.
Early-stage startup experience.
