AI Solution Developer Trainee
Would you like to work in a global consulting company that is the market leader in Data & AI? Interested in a role where you'll design and implement AI solutions that directly drive business value? We are looking for motivated students who are finalising their studies or recent graduates to join our AI & Data Team as an AI Solution Developer Trainee in Helsinki.
We would like you to start your 4-month Trainee period in January 2027. Our goal is that as many Trainees as possible continue with us also after the Trainee period or after graduating.
As an AI Solution Developer Trainee, you will be a valued part of the team in our varied client assignments where AI is utilized in solving real business challenges. Your tasks can include, for example, designing and implementing AI/GenAI solutions using modern cloud platforms, developing end-to-end AI applications from architecture through to deployment, translating business requirements into technical AI solutions that drive measurable impact, prompt engineering and model fine-tuning, and collaborating with clients to understand business problems.
Based on your background, you can also contribute to other areas including data strategy and governance, data science, and data engineering. We can promise your learning curve at Deloitte to be steep, and we will provide you with both relevant trainings as well as experience and insight from interesting ongoing projects with active support from your own buddy, people leader, and the whole AI & Data team.

What do we hope from you?
Do you want to deepen your knowledge on AI solution development and learn how to build practical AI solutions that solve real business problems with a relaxed and motivated team, with the prospect of being a consultant in the AI area? Then you’d probably fit well in our team!
To succeed in this role, we wish you have:
- A recent master’s degree or ongoing master studies from relevant field (for example data science, applied mathematics, computer science, etc.)
- Practical experience applying AI/GenAI tools to solve real business or technical problems
- Understanding of LLM concepts and GenAI frameworks (prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, model evaluation)
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python
- Enthusiasm to work with others, both with colleagues and clients
- Fluent oral and written skills in both English and Finnish (Finnish skills are required to work with our clients in Finnish government and public sector)
In addition, the following while not necessary, would be considered a strong advantage:
- Previous work experience from similar position or consultative capacity
- Knowledge of responsible AI practices or AI governance
- Interest in system design, AI solution architecture, or making technical design decisions across complex AI projects
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
To be considered for this Trainee position, a prerequisite is that you are currently allowed to work in Finland, holding a valid residence permit if required.

Interviews: In the first stage, selected candidates will be invited to record short answers to video interview questions. In the second stage, we will meet selected candidates for a formal interview.
