Experienced Data Migration Lead - SAP

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Migration Lead to join our organization in a newly created strategic role. As we undertake complex data transformation initiatives, we are looking for a seasoned professional who can lead large-scale migration projects from conception through successful completion. You will work with our most critical business systems and data assets, partnering with global and local stakeholders to deliver sustainable, business-driven migrations that drive organizational value.

We are looking for senior data migration professionals who have an appetite for delivering complex, end-to-end migration projects and are excited to collaborate with enterprise organizations across multiple industries. You enjoy engaging with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify risks, and develop comprehensive solution strategies for data migration challenges. You bring subject matter expertise with a strong command of ETL technologies, migration methodologies, and data integration best practices.

Your most important attributes we'd like to see are:

Technical Expertise & Experience

• Thorough expertise in end-to-end data migration phases, including assessment, planning, design, execution, testing, cutover, and post-migration support
• Deep hands-on experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and data integration across complex enterprise environments
• Proven expertise running migration projects using industry-standard ETL tools such as ADMM Synity, Informatica, SAP BODS, or equivalent platforms
• Strong understanding of data quality assurance, validation methodologies, and testing frameworks to ensure data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle
• Experience with detailed migration planning, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline development, and success criteria establishment
• SQL knowledge is a great addition for data validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance (but not required)

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Demonstrated project management experience delivering complex, multi-phase initiatives on time and within scope
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across multiple levels-from C-suite executives to technical teams-with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong cross-functional collaboration experience working effectively with process teams, IT departments, deployment teams, business units, and other organizational functions
• Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks; develop contingency plans and rollback strategies for mission-critical migrations
• Experience translating technical migration concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders

Background

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data migration, ETL, and related IT projects
• Broad experience across multiple industries and migration scenarios, demonstrating adaptability and deep functional knowledge
• Previous consulting and project delivery experience working with multiple large enterprise clients, engaging with both business and IT stakeholders
• Fluent in both written and spoken English with excellent communication and presentation skills
