Role Title : Studio Manager
Reports to: General Manager
Key Working Relationship: Head of Production
The Front Desk & Studio Production Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and professional day-to-day running of the studio while serving as the central coordinator for studio bookings, client experience and production operations.
This is not a traditional front desk role. The role sits at the intersection of front-of-house management, studio operations and production coordination, ensuring that the studio is always prepared, productions are properly coordinated and clients, talent and production teams have a seamless
Key Responsibilities
1. Front Desk & Client Experience
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, talent, partners and visitors.
- Manage the front desk and ensure a professional and welcoming studio experience.
- Handle studio enquiries and direct clients appropriately.
- Coordinate client arrivals and ensure relevant teams are prepared.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the studio's services and capabilities.
2. Studio Bookings & Scheduling
- Manage the studio booking calendar and day-to-day schedule.
- Coordinate booking enquiries, confirmations, changes and cancellations.
- Ensure all studio requirements are identified ahead of each booking or production.
- Maintain visibility of upcoming productions, clients and studio activities.
- Support efficient studio utilization and minimize scheduling conflicts.
3. Production Coordination
Working closely with the Head of Production, the role will:
- Coordinate the operational requirements for studio productions.
- Ensure studio spaces are prepared ahead of shoots and sessions.
- Coordinate production schedules, talent, crew and other required resources.
- Ensure equipment, props and production materials are available.
- Support smooth coordination between clients, talent and production teams.
- Monitor production schedules and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Ensure proper reset and handover of studio spaces after productions.
4. Studio Operations & Readiness
- Ensure the studio is clean, organized and production-ready at all times.
- Conduct regular readiness checks across all studio areas.
- Coordinate studio setup and reset before and after productions.
- Identify and escalate maintenance and facility issues.
- Maintain clear operational checklists and procedures.
5. Equipment, Inventory & Consumables
- Maintain an accurate inventory of studio equipment and assets.
- Monitor equipment usage, movement and condition.
- Coordinate equipment preparation for production.
- Manage household supplies and studio consumables.
- Monitor stock levels and raise replenishment requirements in a timely manner.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are properly stored and organized.
6. Studio Business Support
Working closely with the Business Director, the role will:
- Support the management of studio enquiries and bookings.
- Assist with client visits and studio tours.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings and studio activity.
- Support initiatives aimed at increasing studio utilization.
- Identify opportunities to improve the client experience and studio operations.
- Provide regular updates on bookings, utilization and operational requirements.
7. Operational Processes & Administration
- Maintain clear processes for studio bookings and usage.
- Ensure production and operational checklists are completed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure effective communication and handovers between relevant teams.
