If you have what it takes to build Singapore’s digital future with us, we are looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer to join our team in DEX (DEX Digital Technologies Pte Ltd), a wholly owned subsidiary of IMDA.

What the role is:

DEX is Singapore’s trusted data-exchange digital utility— powering secure and interoperable data flows across key sectors such as Supply Chain & Logistics (SGTradex), Built Environment (SGBuildex),Healthcare (SGHealthdex), and more to come.

As Lead UX/UI Designer, you will shape the user experience and design direction across DEX’s digital products and platforms. You will lead the end-to-end design process — translating complex business needs and data workflows into intuitive, accessible and engaging digital experiences, while driving design standards, strengthening our design system and working closely with Product and Engineering teams to bring solutions from concept to implementation.

The Lead UX/UI Designer will report to the COO.

What you will be working on:

In this dynamic role, you will expected to:

·      Lead UX/UI design across DEX products — shape intuitive, user-centric experiences across DEX’s digital platforms and sectoral data utilities.

·      Drive end-to-end product design — from user research, journey mapping and wireframing to prototyping, usability testing and final UI design.

·      Simplify complex workflows —translate business requirements, data flows and enterprise processes into clear and seamless user experiences.

·      Own and evolve the DEX Design System —establish reusable components, design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability across products.

·      Manage and develop the UX/UI team —oversee work allocation and design priorities, mentor and coach team members, provide regular feedback and support their professional growth and development.

·      Partner with Product and Engineering —collaborate closely with cross-functional teams from product discovery through development and implementation, ensuring design intent is effectively translated into the final product.

·      Champion design excellence —establish strong UX/UI practices, conduct design reviews and continuously raise the quality and consistency of DEX’s digital experiences.

·      Drive continuous improvement and innovation —leverage user feedback, product insights and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled design tools, to improve products and design processes.

What we are looking for:

·      8+ years of relevant experience in UX/UI, Product Design, Interaction Design or a related field, with experience leading or managing designers.

·      Strong design leadership with hands-on capability — able to set design direction while remaining actively involved in complex design work.

·      Proven experience managing and mentoring UX/UI designers, including work allocation, coaching, performance feedback and capability development.

·      Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, from user research and problem definition to prototyping, testing and delivery ofdigital products.

·      Experience designing complex B2B, enterprise or data-driven platforms, with the ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive user experiences.

·      Strong proficiency in Figma and design systems, including reusable components, prototyping and maintaining consistent design standards across products.

·      Strong understanding of user-centred design, usability, accessibility, information architecture and responsive design principles.

·      Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and influence Product, Engineering, business teams and senior stakeholders.

·      Collaborative and delivery-oriented mindset, with experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams in an Agile environment.

·       Curious and forward-looking, with an interest in emerging technologies and the use of AI and new design tools to improve user experiences and design productivity.
