We're looking for a strategic and business-focused Director, Business Applications to lead the vision, governance, and evolution of our enterprise application ecosystem.

What's The Role?

The Director Business Applications will lead the platforms that support Dexterra's operations and continued growth, operational excellence, and acquisition strategy.

From our HCM (Dayforce) and enterprise applications to AI -enabled solutions and system integration initiatives, you'll help shape how technology delivers value across the organization while driving digital transformation, automation, and scalable business processes.

What You'll Do

  • Developing and executing the roadmap for Dayforce and other enterprise business applications.
  • Leading application implementations, integrations, upgrades, and business process transformation initiatives.
  • Identifying and scaling AI and automation opportunities that improve productivity, employee experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Partnering with leaders across HR, Finance, Operations, and IT to deliver technology solutions aligned with business priorities.
  • Driving application governance, risk management, compliance, change management, and operational excellence.
  • Supporting acquisition growth through application due diligence, integration planning, and system consolidation activities.
  • Managing strategic vendor relationships, technology investments, and platform performance.
  • Building and developing a high-performing business applications team focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Who Are We Looking For?

You are a collaborative technology leader with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale business applications and digital transformation initiatives. You understand how to translate business priorities into scalable technology solutions and are passionate about driving measurable business value.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise applications, digital transformation, or technology-enabled operations.
  • Experience leading large-scale enterprise application environments, including implementation, optimization, governance, and ongoing support.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise HCM/WFM platforms such as Dayforce, including roadmap planning, stakeholder governance, release management, and operational accountability.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, HR, Operations, and IT stakeholders.
  • Strong vendor management, budgeting, governance, and executive stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Experience with AI-enabled solutions, intelligent automation, or enterprise innovation programs is considered an asset.
  • Project Management, Service Management, or related certifications are considered an asset.
