Currently, around 4,000 employees are working at CARIAD on the digital transformation of the car. CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.0 for all Group brands. E³ stands for ‘end to end electronics architecture’. The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with defect management in various test phases of the program including testing/retesting of defects, creation of risk items, and alignment with the function owner on release readiness (sample/milestones)
- Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for Intrusion Detection System (IDS) which involves Designing and Owning Software Integration, SW Test, System Integration Test and System Test expertise.
- Work with suppliers ensuring security event validation (trigger conditions, context data, traceability)
- Work with the project stakeholders to detail test reports and collaborate with developers and CI/CD engineers to simulate environments (e.g., SOME/IPs, system triggers).
- Coordinate vehicle testing activities, test environments and contribute to reporting and maintaining dashboards
- Design and implement test automation frameworks.
- Define and refine the best practices, processes, and workflows.
- Ensure alignment of test plans with product requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee the execution of test plans, including functional, performance, and safety tests.
- Perform hands-on testing when necessary, setting an example for the team.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes.
- Identify areas for improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
- Propose and implement innovative testing solutions
- Will be responsible at the Right Side of the V Model, Expanding test management practice (ECUs, vehicle platforms, integration)
Skills
- 10+ years’ experience with bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in working in Agile environments (SAFe / Scrum / Kanban)
- Expertise in Test management (strategy, planning, coverage, Jira or Codebeamer-based reporting). cybersecurity testing, and Backend/cloud awareness (data pipelines, cloud platforms)
- Must have experience in working with Databricks and ability to execute SQL queries for data validation.
- Experience in System-level (vehicle, backend, E2E) working with the Test Manager and Test Leads for Intrusion Detection System.
- Hands-on experience in Cybersecurity basics: IDS concepts, security events, log/telemetry analysis
- Hands-on in test management, preferably in automotive cybersecurity systems
- Familiarity with automotive standards and test automation framework
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in test management tools and software
- Good working knowledge of CAPL scripting, Python Scripting, Shell scripting and proficiency in Linux environment.
- ISTQB Test Manager will be added advantage.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and security topics clearly to both engineering and management audiences
- Strong stakeholder alignment skills across OEMs, platform teams, suppliers, and external partners
- Confident in moderating discussions and resolving conflicting priorities
- Clear, structured written communication (status reports, risk summaries, decision notes)
- Good to have experience with CI/CD(e.g.,Github Actions/Docker/Jenkins).
- Good to have experience in working with CAN, Ethernet and SOME/IP protocols.
- Good to have experience with Vector Tools(e.g.,CANoe, CANanalyser), dSPACE , HIL
- Good to have understanding of AUTOSAR basics, and DLT logs-analysis
