Sr. Product Engineer II

You will code features as per the engineering design, mostly independently. You will report to the Technical Lead/Senior Product Engineer, who will be responsible for the module(s) and will be his/her dependable and trusted developer.

Responsibilities:

• Execute projects with minimal supervision with the above skillsets and any additional learning wherever required.
• Escalate and ask for help from senior engineers wherever required.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Suggest and perform code refactoring wherever required.
• Write low-level design documents considering all cases, with impact areas and task breakdown.
• Help senior engineers in debugging and troubleshooting production issues.
• Escalate blockers/concerns on projects and systems whenever necessary.
• Constructively discuss with engineering leads on bugs v/s features v/s support.
• Implement features/fixes as per the engineering design and dev-test the changes end-to-end.

Requirements:

• 2 - 3 years of experience in software development.
• Problem solver at heart and data-driven decision maker.
• Experience in building systems as per engineering design and fixing bugs, with adherence to coding standards set by the supervisor.
• Experience in designing and writing RESTful web services.
• Experience in delivering at least one engineering project, end-to-end with clear impact metrics.
• Demonstrated fast learning capability with at least two frameworks.
• Outcome-oriented resolution of technical issues with minimal support from a supervisor.
• Experience in enterprise SaaS would be a plus.
• Experience in building systems using Java, MySQL, and Spring Boot would be a plus.
• Understanding of distributed systems and how data flows through applications and platform services.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, data modeling fundamentals, and query optimization.
• Exposure to backend systems that handle high-volume data, asynchronous processing, APIs, and scalable application design.
• Basic understanding of data processing pipelines, job orchestration, and how data is consumed by reporting and analytical applications.
• Curiosity to learn modern platform technologies and build reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems.
• Ability to communicate concerns and blockers effectively in a remote environment.
• Good communication skills to explain blockers and concerns and highlight potential improvements.
