Lead Learning Without Walls
What if education wasn't confined to four walls?
What if learning happened in coffee shops, libraries, sports centres, workplaces and communities?
What if your leadership could help young people build the confidence, skills and independence they need for adult life?
At MacIntyre, that's exactly what we do.
We're looking for an experienced and inspiring Programme Coordinator to join our team in Milton Keynes, leading a team of Community Teaching Facilitators who support young people with autism and learning disabilities.
This is an opportunity to step beyond the traditional classroom and help shape truly personalised learning journeys that are built around each young person's strengths, interests, aspirations and goals.
A Different Kind of Education
Our young people don't follow a one-size-fits-all curriculum.
Instead, we work alongside them to create bespoke learning programmes that reflect who they are, what matters to them and what they want from their future.
Learning may happen:
- At home
- Out and about
- Through partnerships with colleges and training providers
- In workplaces and volunteering opportunities
- Through activities linked to individual interests and ambitions
Every programme is designed to help young people develop the skills, confidence and independence they need as they move towards adulthood.
The Role
As Programme Coordinator, you will lead and support a team of Community Teaching Facilitators delivering highly personalised learning programmes across the region.
You'll champion high-quality, person-centred education while ensuring every young person has opportunities to learn, develop and thrive.
Working closely with your team, families and professionals, you will:
- Coordinate the planning, delivery and review of individual learning programmes.
- Support and develop a skilled and motivated team of Community Teaching Facilitators.
- Ensure educational provision meets each young person's learning, emotional, social and developmental needs.
- Foster a culture of creativity, curiosity and continuous improvement.
- Build positive partnerships with families, professionals and community organisations.
- Help young people achieve outcomes that are meaningful to them and prepare them for adulthood.
Who We're Looking For
You'll be a qualified teacher with experience supporting learners with additional needs and a passion for person-centred education.
You'll also be someone who:
- Believes in the potential of every young person.
- Can motivate, coach and support others.
- Builds positive relationships with ease.
- Brings resilience, creativity and flexibility to their work.
- Enjoys finding innovative solutions and thinking differently.
- Shares our commitment to inclusion, opportunity and person-centred practice.
Why MacIntyre?
At MacIntyre, we believe everyone deserves opportunities to learn, grow and live a life that makes sense to them.
You'll join a values-led organisation where relationships come first, individuality is celebrated and learning is shaped around the person, not the system.
Location and Hours
Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
- Full-time
- 38 hours per week
- 52 weeks per year
If you're ready to coordinate learning that is creative, personalised and life-changing, we'd love to hear from you.
"Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding."
What we need from you
You must be a Level 5 qualified teacher with management experience and have worked with children or young people who have complex needs.
You'll be a driver with your own transport, as learners are based around the area.
