About the Role

The mission of the Student Experience team is to design, develop, and deliver impactful initiatives that enrich every aspect of students’ academic journey. We foster meaningful connections, empower students to grow personally and professionally, and ensure they remain engaged with CODE’s community long after graduation.

We do this across five pillars of student support:

Student Support & Communication, Academic Success, Career Success & Personal Growth, Alumni Affairs & Lifelong Engagement, and Community & Wellbeing.

To organise the work, each Student Experience team member contributes to all Student Experience pillars while focusing on one phase of the student journey - Entry & Community, Learning & Growth, or Career & Connection.

These focus areas ensure that the team thoughtfully shapes, drives, and supports the full lifecycle of the student experience while maintaining a collaborative, generalist approach.

Focus Area

In addition to the general responsibilities, you will focus on Career Development, Alumni Affairs & Community Engagement, strengthening the connections between students, graduates, employers, and the wider CODE community.

  • Design and grow community programmes that connect students, alumni, faculty, and industry partners across cohorts and career stages.

  • Build peer-to-peer and mentoring networks that help students and graduates learn from one another.

  • Develop alumni engagement touchpoints, from newsletters and updates to reunions, returning-alumni events, and participation in university events.

  • Own the approach to ongoing alumni engagement, including communications, newsletters, community updates, events, and opportunities for alumni to contribute to CODE.

  • Lead the integration of new graduates into the alumni community and ensure career and community touchpoints extend beyond graduation.

  • Collaborate on Graduation and transition activities, ensuring a coordinated and positive handover from student to alumni status.

  • Develop initiatives that strengthen long-term relationships among students, alumni, employers, and the wider CODE community.

  • Own the continuous improvement of key student journeys, from onboarding through academic progression and graduation.

  • Map student journeys and service processes to identify friction points, gaps, duplication, and opportunities to improve the student experience.

  • Design communication touchpoints and service interactions that are timely, coherent, accessible, and student-centered.

  • Plan and deliver partner and networking events such as company visits, guest lectures, and Talent Days.

  • Lead the planning of SX formats and events and the integration of new graduates into the alumni community.

  • Own the continuous improvement of workflows across relevant digital tools, such as HubSpot, Jira, Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace.

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in student support, student life, career services, alumni relations, community management, event management, or a related field, including at least 2 years in a management or team-lead role.

  • Proven track record of building community or membership programmes, and of developing and executing strategy, managing budgets, and delivering measurable outcomes.

  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with external partners such as employers, alumni, or community organisations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support students with empathy and discretion.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to lead multiple work streams at once.

  • Proactive, solution-focused approach and comfort operating in a dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency with digital tools such as Google Workspace, Notion, and Slack, and comfort with feedback collection and data analysis.

  • Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and CRM systems and student information software, preferably HubSpot.

  • English at C1 level or higher.

  • German at B2 level or higher, to support students with local administrative processes and communication with external offices.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.

  • Experience with DEI topics to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment and admissions processes.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic experience.

What you can expect:

  • Permanent contract

  • Campus located in lively Neukölln-work in one of Berlin’s most dynamic neighborhoods

  • Responsible role in a motivated and supportive team

  • Modern work environment with flexible hours and remote work options
